E.C.E. PRIMUS Planes

PRIMUS Planes are adjustable without a mallet:

  • Small turn clockwise: thicker chip

  • Small turn counter clockwise: thinner chip

Before leaving the factory, each PRIMUS Plane is tested. 
The control points are: 

  • Flawless plane body

  • Carefully sharpened plane iron

  • Absolutely tight fitting cap-iron

  • Free flow of shavings

  • Ease of adjustment

  1. Anti-backlash control of cut with positive micro-precision depth adjustment.

  2. Adjustable mouth prevents tearout

  3. Shavings flow freely because there is no wedge

  4. Lignum vitae sole is self-lubricating and wear resistant

  5. Plane body is select fruitwood
